Job Description

The Head of Operations is responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of strong employee engagement, service excellence and accountability. This position will provide on-going, day to day leadership and oversight to all F&F Income Properties and staff in an effort to support the team towards the goal of consistent asset and business optimization year over year. The successful candidate will not only have the skills to influence others to take action, but also the ability to think on their feet coupled with the confidence to take action; and the sense of urgency to get it done now.


  • Major goals and responsibilities:
    • Achieve strategic objectives consistently each year
      • Lead and Oversee F&F Property Management team
      • Train, Develop, Recruit, Level up or out
      • Drive efficiency throughout organization
    • Free up the CEO to work on growing the real estate development side of the business

    Essential activities:

    • Lead with a “L” (ensuring the right things get done):
      • Leads by example – has a positive leadership presence, sets the tone
      • Recognizes when to take action and when to teach or transfer skills.
      • Knows how to assess risk and remains calm under pressure.
      • Understands the power of being decisive with consistent follow through.
      • Admits when wrong, open to learning from every person on the team.
    • Effective and consistent communication with team:
      • Ensuring the important priorities are always top of mind and don’t get lost among the urgent things
      • Flexibility in communication styles and approaches. There will be varied personality types, along with varied skill levels and expertise spanning the full spectrum.
      • Verbal mastery and poise in articulating oneself, and expectations both in writing and verbally will be critical to success. Weekly updates, ongoing coaching plans, and execution plans to support strategic initiatives are examples.
    • Management (ensuring things are done right):
      • Consistently focus and reporting on KPIs – using data to drive decision making and process improvement
      • Team accountability / Day to day execution
      • Reporting and Administrative
      • Training, teaching, skills transfer
    • Ongoing professional and personal development:
      • Constantly improve their knowledge base to drive core duties and responsibilities


  • Key Characteristics to be successful in this role:
    • 7+ years demonstrated experience in assembling, influencing, leading and motivating various types of professionals, from blue collar to white collar.
    • Execution planning skills – ability to take a vision and break it down into smaller steps and initiatives that can be delegated and owned by the team
    • Ability to recognize when process improvements are warranted and know how to implement the change quickly and efficiently.
    • Ability to improvise and be flexible to the unforeseen circumstances. Problem solving is something that comes easily and naturally.
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with proven experience interacting and presenting plans to management and overall team. Communication mastery.  High level of emotional control.
    • Appreciation for the customer service aspect of the role; demonstrated experience achieving objectives while maintaining/improving customer satisfaction metrics.
    • Comfortable with technology and leveraging it to improve the business and client experience.
